  10. formats 0 and 1. These  contain  SYSEX  data  for  GM On and additional
  11. SYSEX strings for  the  XG  range  of  synths  which  is  particular to
  12. themselves! XG Synths that is!

  15.        1 indicates a 1 (one)  format Music-X Performance File

  17. The Music-X Files in this archive will only  play correctly on a Yamaha
  18. XG synth `cos they don`t play the  correct  GM drum  kits on my Korg i3
  19. which they should because the Korg i3 has a GM facility!

  27. The  Music-X files  here   have   been    edited   in  another  archive
  28. which accompanies  this  XGDEMMX0.lha  and   XGDEMMX0.readme   archive.
  29. Therefore, the GM Music-X files  in   the  XGDEMM1.lha  archive  should
  30. play  correctly  on GM/GS synths..

  32. All copyright notices for  Yamaha   have   been  respected (the Music-X
  33. files, these didn`t have a (c)  notice  actually but I`ve embedded  one
  34. in each of the Music-X 0  and  1  files  anyway! That way you know  who
  35. originally  produced the  files  and  that  they  were   probably  demo
  36. files  accompanying  a  Yamaha  manufactured  synthersizer with XG MIDI
  37. facilities..

  39. Making these Music-X  files   available   on   the   NET   is   not  an
  40. infringment of copyright  but  simply  a  means  of  making these files
  41. available to a wider audience so other MIDI freaks  can  appreciate the
  42. professional quality of these MIDI arrangements..

  44. If you`d  like  to  play  the  edited  GM/GS  versions  then  look  for
  45. XGDEMMX1.lha and the  XGDEMMX1.readme  that  accompanies this archive..
  46. Use  MIDI Performance Manager (MPM)  by  Andreas Jung (which plays both
  47. SMFs and Music-X Performance  files)  and  this  can  be located on the
  48. German published "Meeting Pearls  III"  CD-ROM  available from all good
  49. vendors..

  59. I`m a Music-X/SMF expert  with  my  own  recording  studio using Amigas
  60. (A2000. A1200 and a A500+), I`ve also   had  an audio CD called "A Drop
  61. in the Ocean" released  with  my  co-composer  brother, where all music
  62. was sequenced using Amigas..  Some  Amiga  musicians/MIDI freaks on the
  63. NET  may  remember me from the AM/FM magazine which  was  published  on
  64. floppy  disk  by  Bjørn  Lynne (Dr. Awesome)  a couple of years ago.  I
  65. used to write arcticles and  produce  MIDI  music  for AM/FM as one  of
  66. The  Craft Brothers..  I've  taken  AM/FM  over  and   now   publish  a
  67. similar  music  based  disk  magazine called MIDICraft Magazine and I'm
  68. onto issue #11 already..
